Foundation Teacher X2

About the Role:

At Activate Learning we are pioneering education with an unwavering focus on providing talent for business and transforming lives through our Learning Philosophy. Our student experience is the result of our attention to detail in recruiting, developing and retaining the right staff who match and promote the values and behaviours of our brand. Our employee experience is a vital part of this process.

To meet our vision of achieving far-reaching, progressive change and impact through learning, we need an enthusiastic and inspiring teacher in Foundation Lifeskills. The Foundation team works to support learners who face substation barriers to education, including some learners with special educational needs. This post provides an excellent opportunity for a teacher with passion and drive who is committed to enabling our students to unlock their potential and switch on to the power of learning. The post will be to teach in the Foundation team (from Entry 3 – level 1).

Successful candidates will have an appropriate professional qualification and/or a degree preferably with some teaching experience.  Whilst we would prefer applications from qualified teachers who hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification, we would consider applications from unqualified applicants, with the ability to inspire our learners and a willingness to complete a teaching qualification.

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational, team working and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.

There are two roles available one at 25.9 hours per week and one full time at 37 hours per week. Both roles are fixed term until July 2020.
