Situated in the heart of Croydon, there is a rich heritage of creative education at Croydon School of Art. We currently have over 800 students studying from Level 2 to Honours level. This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic,committed and professional individuals to contribute to the delivery of our successful Art, Design and Performance Programmes.
We are looking for a Technician/Demonstrator to support staff and students with the technical and practical aspects of delivery of programmes within the School of Art. You will be able to demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and be committed to quality in all aspects of the experience. You will be an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible professional. You will also be an effective team player and be able to work on your own initiative. You will be focused on students and driven to seek continual improvement in the service that we offer to our students in the College.
You will have experience of working with learners and supporting students. You will be able to demonstrate all manners of forming, moulding and sculpture techniques within various different mediums such as plaster, clay, wax and so on. Techniques using textiles, such as dyeing and felting is essential to the post as they are skills used on a regular basis with our students. Knowledge of health and safety with this environment is essential.
