Lecturer - Automotive Engineering

Gower College Swansea is seeking a qualified and experienced Automotive lecturer to join our successful Engineering department.

You will plan, prepare, and deliver high quality teaching and learning across a range of courses in Motor Vehicle from Level 1 to Level 3, motivating and inspiring learners to reach their full potential. The topic areas you are likely to deliver include: Vehicle maintenance, workshop processes, Electrical Fuel and ignition systems, Electronics, Hybrid, air-conditioning, Transmission systems, chassis systems and workshop processes 

You will develop and employ a variety of learning strategies, including the use of ILT, to ensure excellence in teaching and learning and the achievement of course targets for retention and attainment. Committed to continuous improvement and quality, you will contribute to curriculum development and assist with the planning and marketing of courses.

Educated to at least Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant area, with a grade C or above in a Level 2 literacy and numeracy qualification, you should also possess a recognised teaching/training qualification or be prepared to work towards one.

A clear and confident communicator, you will have excellent organisational, leadership and problem solving skills and the ability to work flexibly, on your own initiative and as part of a team.

Wedi’ch addysgu i Lefel 3 (o leiaf) mewn maes perthnasol, bydd gennych radd C neu uwch mewn cymhwyster llythrennedd a rhifedd lefel 2, yn ogystal â chymhwyster addysgu/hyfforddi cydnabyddedig. Os nad oes gennych chi gymhwyster o’r fath, dylech fod yn barod i weithio tuag at ennill un.
