Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners.  We currently have a turnover of over £37 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Enrichment and Diversity Officer. The role will have two main areas of focus firstly to support the College’s Learner Involvement Framework, contributing to the enhancement of the learner journey. Secondly the role will support the College in the achievement of our Strategic Equality Objectives identifying and co-ordinate initiatives to promote and raise awareness of key issues.

Applicants must have a good knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and previous experience of working on equality and diversity issues or projects. In addition you should have experience of working with young people and be competent in using a variety of social media platforms. You should have the ability to plan and deliver tasks to deadline, build networks and positively influence others. A level 3 in Welsh has been deemed desirable for this position.

Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

Rhaid i ymgeiswyr feddu ar ddealltwriaeth gadarn am Ddeddf Cydraddoldeb 2010 ynghyd â phrofiad o weithio ar brosiectau/materion sy’n ymwneud â chydraddoldeb ac amrywiaeth. Yn ogystal, fe ddylai ymgeiswyr fod â phrofiad o weithio gyda phobl ifanc a bod yn gymwys i ddefnyddio amrywiaeth eang o blatfformau cyfryngau cymdeithasol. Dylai fod gennych y gallu i gynllunio a chyflawni tasgau gan lynnu at derfynau amser, meithrin perthynas a dylanwadu’n bositif ar eraill. Mae sgiliau Cymraeg Lefel 3 yn ddymunol i’r swydd hon.
