The Theatrical and Media Makeup team have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, current teacher facilitator to teach across both the level 2 and 3 media makeup qualifications. The media makeup team are well established and have built excellent links with industry and events also having had success within student competitions such as UK skills. The team have a broad range of industry experience.
Candidates will be confident in the delivery of fashion focused makeup in addition to more advanced theatrical character looks and special effects, ensuring sessions are relevant, fun and interesting. You will also contribute toward the support of the learners taking part in work experience such as theatres, events and photoshoots. You will be responsible for assessment, feedback and setting aspirational targets also be able to build positive relationships with learners to ensure successful outcomes. English and Maths is required at level 2 or above, an assessor’s qualification is essential along with the highest relevant vocational qualification, candidates can be studying towards a level 5 teaching qualification. Applicants must demonstrate in their application their ability to meet the core responsibilities, personal specifications and skills and competencies detailed within the job description. Candidates will also be requested to carry out a micro teach during the interview.
