Work Placement Supervisor & Assessor - Care Professions
Our Care Professions team have a great opportunity to join them as a Work Placement Supervisor & Assessor for our students studying Early Years & Health and Social Care.
As a Work Placement Supervisor & Assessor, you will be supporting students throughout their time studying at Milton Keynes College. You will be working with students and employers to place them in care settings for work placements as part of their learning programmes. There will also be opportunities to observe them in their work placement as well as providing them with the knowledge and skills for employment ensuring that they will leave the College “Work Ready”.
The Work Placement Supervisor & Assessor within the Care Professions team will be committed to developing our students to achieve their highest potential through their chosen subject, whilst learning invaluable skills to support them in their future. The team challenge our students to be themselves — creative, imaginative and fantastic individuals. Their shared goal is for each student to leave the College with the tools to progress and to get the best out of their future lives.
Students within Care Professions can expect to experience learning in the classroom, and in specialist industry placements for their chosen programmes. You will be joining a team dedicated to delivering the best possible learning environment for each individual student.
Hours: 35 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only)
As a successful candidate you will have:
- An ability to engage and motivate students to deliver high performance outcomes in a further education environment.
- Good organisational skills and good IT skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own workload.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- A qualification in Childcare or Social Care.
- Proven experience of placing students in work experience or placing people in work such as working in a recruitment agency.
- Flexibility, willingness to work outside of normal hours if required.
