Progress Coach and Pad Manager

At Kirklees College, we pride ourselves on our successful coaching approach to supporting our students to achieve the best they can be.

The Progress Coach team works with all study programme students, dealing with a wide range of pastoral and safeguarding issues and delivering our vibrant tutorial programme (Progression, Achievement & Development PAD).

The Mentors for Apprentices work with all apprenticeships to support development and ensure their welfare needs are met.

We are looking for a new PAD & Progress Coach Manager, to support the management and co-ordination of our Progress Coach team.

Working in partnership with our current Progress Coach Team Leader, the successful candidate will:

Have experience of working effectively with young people in a post 16 educational setting. Possess excellent communication skills across a wide range of stakeholders. Be a highly skilled manager and leader. Have deep understanding of coaching and motivating students and staff.

Have ability in effective preparation and reporting of data. Have experience of quality assurance processes and knowledge of the EIF (Ofsted).  Experience of coaching. 

Minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) or able to demonstrate equivalent level of ability and a Level 3 qualification e.g. BTEC, NVQ, A-Level equivalent
