Permanent, Part - Time Role (18.5 hours per week)

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.  Our campus at Newton Rigg is located near Penrith, Cumbria and is surrounded by breath-taking scenery at the very heart of this rural, farming community.  The college trains and develops a wide range of learners from the county and across the country.

We are looking for an individual who will deliver high quality lectures and practical sessions to learners studying on sport, public services and Outdoor Adventure study programmes. They will support students in preparation for assignments and assessments both as a group and on an individual basis. They will also be responsible for the assessment of student work – both theory and practical – in a timely fashion. 

Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a Level 5 teaching qualification (or be willing to achieve this within two years of appointment).  This may be an opportunity for candidates interested in embarking on a teaching career.  Applicants should have a thorough knowledge of Sport, Coaching and Fitness; it would also be of benefit for experience or knowledge of outdoor adventure and the public services. Candidates will have proven experience of providing high standards of support in delivery of employability skills development.
