SGS College currently deliver the Fire and Security Apprenticeship Standard and would like to appoint a new Technician to the Apprenticeship team.

With experience in fire, security and emergency systems, detecting intrusion, providing surveillance, and monitoring and controlling access to buildings; the new Technician will be teaching, assessing and supporting learners to achieve their level 3 qualification.

Skills the apprentices will learn will include; interconnection of equipment, programming, verifying performance/fault finding and testing and maintaining. They will carry out planned jobs to install new systems, modify and maintain existing systems as well as respond to call-outs to repair faulty systems where they will utilise their problem solving skills.

The provision will be based at our Stroud or Berkeley campus. You will be expected to deliver group training sessions on the underpinning knowledge and then meet the learners in their workplace to review their progress finally supporting them through their End Point Assessment.
