We are firmly focused on preparing students for successful careers, in the context of industry’s current and future demands.
We require a new permanent member of staff with expertise in manufacturing and/or mechanical engineering; expertise in Industry 4.0 would be advantageous. The new Electro-Mechanical Engineering degree is proving very successful and we require additional expertise in this area. Experience and expertise in teaching mechanical and manufacturing engineering would be desirable.
Applicants should have a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent industrial experience in an appropriate digital discipline. Experience of teaching and supervising student project work would be essential as would possession of a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one). Experience of module management would be desirable.
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and able to communicate with students, tutors and academics at all levels.
Duties include teaching on and preparing materials for a range of undergraduate and/or professional programmes. Tutors are sought for courses that run during the day, evenings and/or at weekends through face-to-face (or potentially) online teaching environments. You will also provide support to senior academics for module delivery and assessment as well as Outreach activities and Open Days.
