Purpose of Post:
Air Service Training (Engineering) Ltd, more usually known as AST, is one of the world’s leading Part 147 training establishments and has been delivering high quality engineering training to the aviation world since 1934.
AST has classroom and hangar facilities in Perth, Scotland and also delivers training at customer and partner locations across the world. Current activities often see AST in Kuwait, Jordan, Nigeria, Kenya, Mauritius, Nepal and India with business development activities adding more nations annually. AST is also involved in several aerospace academy projects in Scotland which will see new multi-million pound facilities opening in the next few years, including one at AST’s home site in Perth.
Owing to increasing business in both UK and overseas locations, AST is seeking to recruit additional Aeronautical Instructors. Vacancies exist in Avionics and also for those with a Mechanical Airframe and/or Engine background.
Successful applicants will be responsible for delivery of technical training, both theoretical and practical within their trade specialisation. Training is normally conducted at Perth although courses are also run at customer and college locations elsewhere in the UK and overseas.
Instructional staff are also required to compile technical training notes, compose examination questions as well as invigilation and marking of examinations.
Applications are invited from those with significant experience in their trade specialisation. Instructional experience is desirable, although not essential since training will be given.
Closing date: 12 noon on 16 September 2019
