Inverness College UHI is a key partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands. As a tertiary institution, the College delivers the further and higher education provision in this part of Scotland. Inverness College UHI delivers one of the widest ranging curricula in Scotland at all levels from basic vocational skills to university Masters Degrees and Doctorates. Delivery takes advantage of the newest technologies; online, blended and face to face learning. The university is growing, Inverness College UHI is growing, our reputation and commitment to becoming a centre of excellence in learning and teaching is intensifying, and we need highly astute and educated professionals to join us on our journey.

Are you working in a Construction trade?  Would you like to share your skills and knowledge by training to be an Assessor/Trainer?

Due to the rapid expansion of our Modern Apprenticeship programmes, we are seeking a number of Assessors/Trainers in Carpentry and Joinery.

Inverness College UHI is a partner of the University of the Highlands & Islands, the largest provider of Modern Apprenticeships in Scotland.

This is an exciting opportunity for people with industry experience to train as Assessors and put their knowledge to use in assessing (and training where required) Modern Apprentices.

We are happy to take applications from people who are already assessors or to train people from Construction trades to assess.

Assessment and Training is mostly carried out at the Modern Apprentice Employer’s workplace, so good communication skills and customer service are essential, as is a current driving licence.

A range full time and part-time hours are available.  As these roles need to be flexible and respond to employer needs, these roles are not restricted to traditional term times.

We offer a generous holiday entitlement (45 days of which 15 are fixed) and pension package, details of which are provided on the job description.

For further information or an informal discussion about the role, please contact Georgina Parker on 01463 273651.

Closing date:  Sunday 8th September 2019

Please note post holder will be subject to a PVG Disclosure Scotland and other background checks.
