Hours: 2.5days/week, term-time only.

This is an exciting time for University Centre Reaseheath as our Higher Education programmes continue to grow and develop. Our HE Support Team deliver bespoke in-house support for our students, allowing each and every one to reach their full potential. We are seeking to increase our support capacity by recruiting a Study Mentor to deliver study support to students with a wide range of low level support needs. The types of support you would typically be offering include;

1:1Study skills support:

  • Academic writing for Higher Education

  • Grammar,spelling and punctuation

  • Reading for academic purposes

  • Research skills

  • Referencing skills

  • Planning and structuring assignments

  • Time management

  • Understanding assignment briefs

  • Revision and exam strategies

(This list is not exhaustive)

  • Group study skills support

  • Occasional workshops and drop in sessions

In order to deliver this type of support the successful candidates are required to hold the following qualifications;

  • Essential- Degree or equivalent

  • Desirable - Teaching qualification
