Contract Type: Fixed term for two years

SGS College has a highly successful Counselling Programme Area at our Filton and Stroud campuses and we are looking to recruit a counselling lecturer to join the team.
We are looking for a dedicated person with well-developed practical and teaching skills as Co-Tutor of the Level 4 qualification in Counselling. Duties will include assisting the organisation and teaching on the course, assessment, preparation and skills feedback.
The successful person will be required to have current supervised client work and at least one year teaching and assessing experience to Level 2 and 3. They will also possess a Diploma in Counselling or above, knowledge of counselling approaches, particularly humanistic and specifically Person centred.
Teaching one day per week, Friday 6.5 hours contact and additional hours for preparation and administration.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Disclosure Certificate, Enhanced with Children’s Barred list check, as a requirement of the job.
