Leeds City College is one of the UK’s largest FE establishments with around 1400 employees and over 22,370 students. Offering a diverse curriculum within a vibrant and multicultural learning environment, our goal is to deliver excellent and innovative education which supports and inspires every student to achieve their ambitions.

We are introducing two new posts to the Directorate of Student Life to lead on improving outcomes for young people with care experience (Children Looked After and care leavers) as they progress from year 11 into further education, and throughout their post-16 Study Programme. Working closely with the Leeds Virtual School and as part of Student Life, you will focus on a smooth transition to our colleges or apprenticeships, ensuring access to an outstanding student experience and progression onto positive destinations in further or higher learning, apprenticeships or work. The post holders will lead on either key stage 4 outreach and transition or post 16 outcomes, however there is significant opportunity for shared and collaborative planning and activity. The Student Life teams lead on personal development, behaviour and attitudes of all our students, which includes careers, progression and work experience, student engagement, safeguarding and wellbeing and range of exciting projects and initiatives. Our work is values driven and we work collaboratively to contribute to a great student experience with huge aspirations for every individual. We are champions for equality, diversity, inclusion and social mobility.

Leeds City College is committed to Equality of Opportunity (ensuring everyone is treated fairly) and safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applicants are required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check as well as mandatory pre-employment checks which may also include checking social media profiles. We positively welcome applications from all sections of the community.
