We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed teacher of Sociology to join our Sixth Form team. It is an exciting time to join the College and we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our distinctive educational setting.
You will deliver inspiring teaching and learning to ensure all students are supported to succeed in Sociology. You will prepare and plan innovative and effective lessons, monitor the performance of students against Alps target grades and provide effective intervention strategies to ensure the success of all students. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering A Level Sociology to Year 12 and Year 13 students and will be expected to make significant contributions to the success of the area. Ideally you will have experience of delivering the AQA A Level specification.
A relevant degree is essential and applicants must already have a teaching qualification. You will also have strong interpersonal and organisational skills and work effectively in a large team.The Sixth Form is a priority department for Loughborough College and we are looking for candidates who will work to develop new provision within this area and embrace exciting and innovative modes of delivery.

*This is initially a fixed term post to cover maternity leave until 31st December 2019. There is a possibility the post may be extended beyond this date. The post is also initially a 0.6 post but could increase to 0.8 dependent on student recruitment numbers.
