These are exciting times at JTL. Already one of the UK’s biggest providers of work-based training, we’re on a strategic path that will continue to build on our leadership, strengthen our impact on the industry and train ever-growing numbers of plumbers and electricians to take on the challenges of the future.

And, as a Management Accountant, you will play a vital role in helping us achieve these objectives.

In addition to controlling management accounts reporting, you will oversee all financial controls, systems and processes to ensure that we manage our finances efficiently and meet statutory requirements. This will involve more than producing accurate and timely monthly financial reports and balance sheet reconciliations. You will maintain the Nominal Ledger, help with the technological development of new finance systems and processes, and actively support budget holders with the financial management of their operations. Liaising with the company auditors and deputising for the Senior Management Accountant when necessary will also form important aspects of your brief.

This influential role calls for a qualified or part-qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA with proven responsibility for Management Accounts and advanced MS Excel skills. A working knowledge of Sage Line 50 would be an advantage, as would some experience of system implementation, migration and documentation. First-class organisational, communication and time-management skills are, of course, essential.

In return, we can promise you an attractive salary, benefits including a pension and life insurance, ongoing professional development and tremendous scope to influence the operational and strategic evolution of the organisation.

We welcome applicants from all sections of the community. JTL is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all its employees to share this commitment in conjunction with the requirements of the Prevent Duty and the positive promotion of modern British values.

A DBS disclosure will be required.
