Our Graduate Internship Scheme provides a fixed-term employment opportunity for students who have successfully completed a Honours Degree at our University Centre during the 2017/18 or 2018/19 academic years. The scheme is intended for graduates to gain valuable experience of working within a business environment across a range of disciplines to gain and develop transferable skills within the work environment and thus improve employability skills.

An opportunity has arisen for a placement in the School of Business, Health and Technology at the University Centre Blackburn College in the role of STEM Technician / Facilitator – Engineering (Electrical and Electronic). As a University Centre Graduate with a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, this internship will afford the opportunity to support staff and facilitate students in laboratory and workshop scenarios to undertake a range of practical tasks in an engineering context supporting teaching delivery.

With experience of the latest subject specific technological developments and of facilitating individuals in a range of technical tasks, you will have a strong base set of skills in one or more of the following areas from constructing projects including tasks such as performing experiments with digital electronics, electrical systems, calibration of equipment.
