This is a fixed term contract (15 to 18 months)

Level Two Apprenticeship Rates are age dependent:

(16yrs to 17yrs)  £4.51 per hour or £8,701 PA
(18yrs to 20yrs) £6.31 per hour or £12,173 PA
(21yrs to 24yrs) £7.86 per hour or £15,163 PA
(25+yrs) £8.21 per hour or £15,839 PA

Leeds City College are offering an exciting opportunity for a Finance Apprenticeship Roles, based at Park Lane Campus. This offer includes the opportunity to gain the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Qualification starting at entry Level 2. With allocated study time provided by Leeds City College and the support of the Finance Team to support them in developing a career within finance. You will provide support within the Financial Services Team (Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)) initially and will proceed to learn the functions of the wider Finance Department for the duration of your apprenticeship. This role is an integral part of the finance department structure and comes with its own tasks and responsibilities: These include general finance administration duties, to provide AP support in the payment of supplier invoices using the college’s finance system, ensuring all invoices and requests for payment have been approved in accordance with the college’s financial regulations, to provide AR support in the collection of all monies due to the College and maintain an accurate position of the College’s debtors within the finance system. You should have a good solid general education, be numerate, have good technical and keyboard skills, show initiative, have the ability to work to tight schedules and a genuine keen interest in finance.

The role is intended to commence at the start of September 2019.
