Accounts and Facilities Manager

Gresham College provides a programme of free public lectures, with approximately 130 events scheduled each year at Barnard’s Inn Hall, Holborn and in other venues, such as the Museum of London. All lectures are live-streamed and made available online.

At this exciting time of expansion for the College, we are seeking to appoint a new Accounts and Facilities Manager to join its small but busy team. The Accounts and Facilities Manager will carry out the book-keeping function, manage the College’s banking activities (handling cash, payments etc and account enquiries), service the Finance Committee, administer payroll and the pension scheme, and provide support for funding negotiations and leasing issues.  The postholder will also work with the College Accountant in the preparation of monthly management accounts and year end statutory accounts.  As Facilities Manager he/she will develop and manage external lettings at Barnard’s Inn Hall, deal with services, ensure compliance with fire and Health and Safety regulations, liaise with the Head of Communications Technology over IT and AV requirements, and oversee the general maintenance of Gresham College premises in coordination with its landlord.

Relevant professional experience and expertise (book-keeping and facilities management), as well as good organisational and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to use initiative, and work collaboratively within a team.

The closing date for applications is 09:00 on 19 August 2019
