Trainer Assessor - Mechanical Engineering

The Engineering department wish to appoint a suitably qualified Trainer Assessor to deliver on a range of qualifications at levels 1, 2 and 3 both in the College engineering workshops and at employer premises. The role will include delivery and assessment of apprenticeship qualifications.

You will be responsible for the delivery of a case load of work which will include assessment and training activities, quality/audit compliance, student guidance and support. You will ensure that appropriate developments are undertaken to support delivery against quality assurance, self-assessment processes, case load targets and objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a time-served mechanical engineer with relevant industry experience in a range of disciplines including fitting and assembly, turning, milling, maintaining mechanical equipment, mechanical principles, and preventative maintenance.

You must be a qualified assessor holding an A1 or equivalent.

Experience working within the education sector monitoring apprentice progress will be an advantage.

You should have good communication skills, be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and be fully committed to working with young people.
