Lecturer in Graphic Arts
We are seeking a lecturer to provide dynamic teaching and direction to the Graphic Arts area of the Foundation Diploma in Art and Design.
Candidates should have a strong technical understanding of Adobe Creative Suite and will need to demonstrate the ability to effectively support students to use digital skills creatively to explore specialist areas including illustration, animation and graphic communication. They will promote the pursuit of the highest academic standards and of reflection, enquiry and creative risk taking to ensure that students are well equipped intellectually, creatively and technically to realise their progression goals.
The successful candidate will possess strong organisational skills, and be able to provide outstanding support to learners to enable them to improve their performance. They will work in close collaboration with course leaders and other academic, technical and support staff within the department, to ensure high levels of academic rigour and student engagement.
You will have a good standard of general education, to include GCSE 9-4 or equivalent in English and Maths. You will have a Degree in a relevant Art or Design discipline and recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE or willingness to obtain in post.
