This is an exciting new opportunity to oversee the delivery of all work experience and industry placement opportunities for study programme and apprenticeship students, ensuring that Plumpton College’s Operational Development Plan targets are met.

The Student Work Experience & Safety Coordinator will create, manage and maintain a database of employers and a process to collect and record work experience. The post-holder will also will create a broad range of work experience and placement information to be available at application, enrolment and tutorial stage.

The Student Work Experience & Safety Coordinator will take responsibility for overseeing the health & safety process for all study programme and apprenticeship students, conducting visits and ensuring that student checks, risk assessments and health & safety protocols are adhered to by both students and employers.

We are seeking a highly organised professional individual, who is a confident communicator at all levels and is proactive, responsive and able to find solutions.

  • You will be a team player who is also confident working independently. With a recognised health & safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) and a risk assessment training qualification,
  • You will have a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent). With strong IT skills,
  • You will have a good working knowledge of database and reporting systems. Previous experience of handling enquiries and contacting employers or work placement organisations would be an advantage.
