Course Leader in HE Education Studies

The University Centre Colchester is looking for a dedicated individual to deliver lectures, supervise students, prepare teaching materials and engage in subject-specific research. You will motivate and inspire students, assess their work, offer feedback and maintain records as appropriate.

The role will include comprehensive teaching responsibilities (designing schemes of work, assessing, preparation, delivery, marking, leading on student guidance and selection procedures, individual student tutoring and marketing/promoting courses/attending Open events).

Appropriately qualified, you will have an undergraduate degree in the relevant subject, be able to evidence further postgraduate training, and/or equivalent experience, and demonstrate analytical ability and pedagogical interests as applicable to working in Higher Education.

Though clearly a subject specialist in degree-level education, the breadth of your educational background includes GCSEs at grades 9-4 (or equivalent), and A levels (or equivalent). You enjoy working for and with people, which has shaped your identity as a professional and your approach to your work.
