Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Head of HR and Organisational Development to join the College on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Head of HR, you will support members of the Senior Management Team to lead on the development and implementation of an efficient and effective College HR Strategy that enables our staff to be appropriately skilled and trained to meet the needs of the College, making Perth College an employer of choice.
You will be CIPD qualified and will have worked in a senior HR role. You will have the ability to foster excellent working relationships, within and out-with the HR team, ensuring a high level of customer service. It is essential that you have up to date knowledge of current and forthcoming employment legislation/best practice. It is also essential that you will have the ability to execute strategic decisions, manage complex employee relations casework and policy development.
This role will also involve working with recognised traded unions and leading on collective bargaining so it is essential that you have demonstrable experience of leadership, political sensitivity, communication, influencing and people management skills.
