Security Officer

The Leicestershire College are looking for two experienced Security Officers to join the Estates team in providing a flexible, efficient and effective security service for the property at all times.

This is a great opportunity for individuals, to work 37.5 hours per week over 5 days. The shifts are 6am-2pm or 2pm-10pm and are rotated between the team. Whilst your main days of work will be Monday-Friday, you will be required to work an occasional Sunday on a rota, and the hours for this will be 8am-4pm. Where you work a Sunday, you will have Friday and Saturday as your rest days for that week.

Key responsibilities include regular surveillance patrols across the College campus, being a point of contact for learners, colleagues and visitors and providing a customer focused presence on site. The Security team also operates a rota for holding the on call phone. (Call outs will be supplemented in your salary.)

To be considered for the role, you will have experience of providing security and/or locking down buildings on a large site. You will be able to demonstrate a professional approach and the ability to work on your own initiative. Applicants must hold an SIA licence and possess or be willing to work towards a recognised First Aid Qualification.
