Estates and Grounds Technician

Askham Bryan College is a specialist land-based college based across the North of England.

We are currently seeking an Estates and Grounds Technician to join our Estates and Facilities Department at Newton Rigg. This is permanent role working 37 hours per week.

Working with the Site Operations Manager and the Estates & Facilities department, the role will maintain the College estate and external hard/soft landscaping including: planted, grassed and sports and areas, footpaths, roads, perimeters and boundaries. It will also support the wider activities of the Estates & Facilities department in ensuring that the College estate is safe, well presented and secure.

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a grounds/estates services role and will hold a qualification in a grounds or horticulture related subject. Recent experience and training in tractor driving, RTV driving or strimmer/brush cutter use would also be beneficial.
