Lecturer in Science

The Faculty of Science and Care offers students the opportunity to study a wide range of courses in a friendly and supportive environment with excellent teaching, high quality resources and opportunities to engage in a range of sporting, leisure and cultural activities. 

We are currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic teachers to join our faculty and currently have vacancies for teachers of Science. The successful applicants will have experience of teaching across levels 1 to 3 including 16-19’s as well as adults. You will have knowledge of BTEC and/or CACHE delivery and assessment and will be adaptable to meet the needs of your students.  We are also looking for teachers with experience of working at levels 4 and 5 so welcome applications for teaching at this level. You will be a responsible and confident teacher who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues.   

Applicants should have experience of teaching within one or more of the advertised areas (Health Science, Health and Social Care) and be able to deliver the subjects in a vocational context. This can be either in your current post or as part of your PGCE. 

Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team and develop and share innovative and stimulating teaching and learning resources. 

Applicants must be passionate about teaching in the FE sector, and be committed to ensuring that our learners make the best possible progress. As such, applicants must also have a good sense of humour, the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

You will have a teaching qualification and be passionate about being a professional educator to young people.
