Lecturer Career Pathways

Nottingham College is looking to appoint an experienced Lecturer to join our Career Pathways Faculty. The successful candidate will have excellent Maths and English skills and have experience of delivering functional skills up to level 2.

You will be familiar with Entry and Level 1 curriculum standards for learners with both social and learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Experience of teaching to learners who have not been in Education, Employment or Training would be an advantage. You will be required to deliver across a range of topics and levels including Functional Skills, Personal and Social Development and Employability Skills.  You should have experience of teaching 14-24 year olds.

This position requires excellent communication and motivational skills and the ability to support students with a wide variety of learning needs. A flexible, well-differentiated and innovative approach to teaching and learning will be essential.  Many tutors work across a number of different sites (including outreach centres), the ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-college team and a willingness to travel within the locality are essential. However, the post will be mainly based at our Basford Campus.
