SGS College has a highly successful Hairdressing, Beauty and Make up artistry Department. We require a highly flexible, motivated individual to undertake reception and stock control duties for both the professional and student commercial Envy salons alongside assessment of learners within the reception role.
The successful candidate will need to have had adequate experience of working on reception, a level 2 Beauty therapy qualification and a Level 2 Hairdressing qualification is desirable but not essential. They will need to have experience of customer service and vocational assessment, a learner centric approach, a tangible passion for the subject area and be an effective team player. The role will also include some technician responsibility, which requires a proactive, highly communicative and organised approach with all appropriate college services.
You will be responsible for supporting and driving the success of learners on their Study Programme and supporting the Salon Manager in their role within the professional commercial salon.
You will have a passion for developing learners’ skills and will support and inspire them in achieving their Long-Term Goals. You possess the ability to manage your own workload, show initiative, gain support and guidance when required, embrace a collaborative team approach and be an advocate of learning and growth.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a satisfactory Disclosure Certificate, Enhanced with Children’s Barred list check, as a requirement of the job.
