Keighley College is a highly successful community college, being one of the mostly rapidly improved colleges in the country. We pride ourselves on working closely with employers, the local community and other stakeholders to provide curriculum and support that meets the needs of students.
The college building is centrally located and convenient for public transport. New in 2010 the building hosts well-resourced facilities catering for a wide range of curriculum areas.
Work is in progress to open a new Higher Education centre in 2019 which will provide innovative learning spaces to meet our growing HE offer.
Keighley College is a member of the Luminate Education group.
We are looking for a Lecturer to join our Higher Education team within the Teaching and Learning Department at our new University Centre based at Keighley College. This exciting degree prepares learners for work in the world of education.
The successful applicant will have excellent practical skills and be passionate about working with students. As a key member of an expanding team they will have input into developing the programme as it grows. The role will involve teaching students at levels 4, 5 and 6, leading modules, and setting up projects with clients / organisations. We welcome applicants with both a background in education or with relevant industry experience.
Main responsibilities will include planning, preparing and developing effective schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching and learning resources including the development of online learning resources for identified modules. You will deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods.
This role may involve lone working.
