If you are a passionate Maths and Physics Tutor then this a fantastic opportunity for you to join our Leeds International Study Centre during an exciting phase of growth. Teaching across our Maths and Physics Level 3 and Level 6 (if Masters qualified) you’ll work with small groups of International students (15-20 class sizes).

The face can be fast, however, you’ll be part of a positive, supportive and collaborative team that stick together during these times. During your first week, there will be a full induction and integration into the team and the Study Group culture. Moving forward, you’ll then have regular one to ones, team meetings, and regular team building activities, to ensure you have the support you need.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll deliver Maths and Physics modules on our Science International foundation year programmes, and our Science pre-masters (if you are Masters qualified). You will play a key role by contributing to the development of materials and formative assessment. As a lead on a module, you will also liaise with external examiners and be responsible for the VLE. This job requires you to have contact with external stakeholders including link Tutors at the University. Your aim quite simply will be to empower students to reach the level they need to progress into University by giving student centred, engaging, and innovative lessons.

EXPERIENCE

  • Your background will be in teaching Maths and Physics in a Further Education or Higher Education context, teaching at a minimum of Level 3.
  • A degree in Maths, Physics, or a relevant subject. (essential)
  • A PGCE or a similar teaching qualification is desirable.
