Work Placement Tutor (Land-Based)

Part time (0.4 FTE / 2 days per week)
12 months Fixed Term Contract

Hartpury College is a leading sports and land-based residential college and was graded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted in May 2018. The overall effectiveness of leadership and management, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the 16-19 study programmes all received the highest grade from Ofsted. Over 3500 full time Further and Higher Education students study at our attractive rural campus in Gloucestershire. 

We are looking to recruit a Work Placement Tutor who has excellent knowledge of the Land-Based sector, specifically Agriculture and/or Animal Management. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, student focused and have strong interpersonal skills. The role will primarily consist of working closely with the academic team, visiting employers to carry out pre-placement health and safety checks, as well as visiting students whilst on their placement to complete progress reviews and liaising with employers both face-to-face and on the phone.

The successful candidate will be required to hold a full UK manual driving licence and access to their own car, have excellent administration and planning skills and will have the ability to forge excellent working relationships with external partners and industry. Experience of working with young people would be desirable.
