Music Performance Lecturer

Up to 15 hours per week
Fixed term until July 2020
Based at Llwyn y Bryn

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, highly motivated individual to join our successful team to deliver and assess Level 3 Music Performance.

As a clear and confident communicator, you will be innovative and able to demonstrate relevant experience of working in a creative environment and have the ability to motivate and inspire students whilst creating a positive learning environment leading to an outstanding learner experience. You will develop and employ a variety of teaching and learning strategies, including the effective use of ILT, to ensure excellence and the achievement of course targets for retention and attainment.

With excellent organisational and problem solving skills you will be responsible for the consistent delivery of high quality and effective teaching and learning across Music Level 3 whilst motivating learners to raise their ambitions and realise their full potential. You will adopt a flexible approach to be prepared to provide cover at various College sites.

Qualified to degree level you will possess a recognised teaching/training qualification or be prepared to work towards one.

Applications can be submitted in Welsh and those applications will not be treated less favourably than applications submitted in English.

Appointments are subject to an enhanced DBS check and registration with the Education Workforce Council for Wales. Appointments will normally be made at the bottom of the pay scale with annual increments on 1 August each year (provided you have completed 6 months service).

Byddwch yn datblygu ac yn defnyddio amrywiaeth o strategaethau dysgu ac addysgu, gan gynnwys defnydd effeithiol o TGD, i sicrhau rhagoriaeth a chyflawni targedau cadw a chyrhaeddiad y cwrs. 

Fel cyfathrebwr clir a hyderus, bydd gennych y gallu i ysgogi ac ysbrydoli myfyrwyr a chreu amgylchedd dysgu cadarnhaol yn arwain at brofiad rhagorol i ddysgwyr. Dylai'r ymgeisydd llwyddiannus fod yn arloesol a medru dangos profiad perthnasol o weithio mewn amgylchedd creadigol. Byddwch yn gymwysedig  i lefel gradd a byddwch yn meddu ar gymhwyster addysgu / hyfforddiant cydnabyddedig neu fod yn barod i weithio tuag ato.

Fel cyfathrebwr hyderus, bydd gennych y gallu i ysgogi ac ysbrydoli myfyrwyr. Byddwch yn meddu ar sgiliau da o ran trefnu a datrys problemau. Byddwch yn gyfrifol am ddarparu dysgu ac addysgu effeithiol ar draws BTEC Cerddoriaeth ar lefel 2 a lefel 3. Byddwch yn darparu sesiynau addysgu cyson dda neu'n well ac ysgogi dysgwyr i godi eu huchelgais a gwireddu eu potensial llawn. Byddwch yn mabwysiadu ymagwedd hyblyg a bod yn barod i weithio mewn nifer o safleoedd y Coleg.

Gellir cyflwyno cais yn Gymraeg a ni fydd y cais hwnnw’n cael ei drin yn llai ffafriol na chais a gyflwynir yn Saesneg.
