An interesting and flexible opportunity has arisen to support the Data Protection Officer at B&FC as a Data Protection & Quality Coordinator.
A knowledge of data handling in a large organisation would be a distinct advantage and some experience of data protection is essential. This role involves working on an interesting range of activities including:
- Dealing with data requests from students, lawyers, the police, social workers and others.
- Preparing data for release.
- Providing guidance and support to help colleagues comply with the law.
- Developing and delivering data protection training.
- Designing improvements to data processes.
Based in the Management Information & Funding department, the successful candidate will be have excellent IT skills and will enjoy the challenge of learning new things. Whilst full training will be given, this role will particularly suit an individual who enjoys using their initiative and working independently.
This is a part time role working 22.2 hours a week as either 3 days per week full year or 5 days per week term time only. Subject to agreement.
