Our vision at Thurrock Adult Community College is to provide adult education where people have opportunity to learn, grow and shape their future.
To ensure we achieve our goals we are looking for highly motivated tutors to teach across all levels to help us increase and develop a diverse curriculum that meets the needs of the people of Thurrock and enables them to achieve their life and career ambitions enabling them to take advantage of all the opportunities that are available to them.
You should be learner focused in your approach, demonstrate enthusiasm and passion in your subject and welcome the opportunity to contribute to the College mission, which is to make a positive difference to local people and their communities.
Our focus at present is to recruit sessional tutors who can teach the following:
Maths and English (functional skills and/or GCSE) - to start September
Various hours, days and times
The day(s) and times that you teach can be negotiated – we have classes running during the day and evening. Most of our classes are 2-3 hours long and some courses have classes twice a week.
You will need to have a level 5 (or equivalent) subject specialism and a teaching qualification.
