Full time hours - 48 per week
Nescot Enterprises Limited (NEL), which is owned by and based at North East Surrey College of Technology, known as NESCOT in Epsom Surrey, has the ambition to be the trainer of the Chefs and front of house staff of the future. The successful candidate will join NESCOT’s Restaurant team who are dedicated to help the College deliver high quality education by providing outstanding food and service to students, staff and the wider general public
We are looking for Waiters/Waitresses, who are passionate about food service, willing to learn, reliable and hard working. Does this sound like you? Then we want to hear from you!
To be the successful candidate you must be consistent in the delivery of your customer focused service and be a strong team player. You will be a pro-active problem solver with excellent customer service skills. You’ll be flexible in your working practices, including around working hours, and, enjoy working in a busy environment. You must take pride in your uniform and appearance, and happy to contribute ideas and suggestions that might improve the quality of the restaurant’s service.
Having good communication skills is a must, as is the ability to effectively converse with a diverse client base. You will be patient and understanding to customers, the business and fellow staff.
You must be experienced at working under pressure in a busy restaurant environment and used to offering high quality and customer focused service. The successful candidate will also be understanding of Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006, related Health & Safety legislation and be able to ensure their personal compliance with these regulations and at all times.
You must be fluent in English. Some experience working in an restaurant/bar or a similar position is preferred but not essential.
