The post will be appointed on either a 10 hours or 14 hours per week arrangement: applicants are asked to indicate their preference on applying (0.29 FTE or 0.4 FTE)
Perth College UHI is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in Scotland’s newest University, the University of the Highlands and Islands.
As a member of the Student Services Team you will play a key role in providing comprehensive information, advice and guidance services in areas of Education, Careers and Employability.
You should be educated to degree level and ideally hold a professional qualification in Careers Guidance or equivalent in Advice or Guidance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as are strong skills in organisation and presentation. The ability to work with a high level of independence and confidence, while also remaining part of the team, and working with initiative and creativity are vital. Skills in working with both individuals and groups are important, and the ability to remain calm while working under pressure is necessary.
Experience of working in an advice and guidance giving role is essential and the post holder should have experience of working with people in groups, of successful networking and of building professional working relationships with individuals.
