HR & Payroll Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, confident and adaptable individual to join the college’s Human Resources team as an HR and Payroll Officer.

The ideal candidate will provide a high quality HR and Payroll service and will be responsible for processing all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including: new starters, payroll changes and leavers. Providing accurate HR advice and guidance to employees and managers is vital in this pivotal role. The successful candidate will have a passion to develop a people focused career and have demonstrable experience of working effectively in a demanding office environment. Experience of schools/academy HR and payroll will be advantageous.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Minimum Level 3 Relevant qualification (e.g. CIPP/CIPD/AAT)
  • GCSE grades A-C in English and Math
  • Experience with data input and Human Resources Information Systems
  • A proactive approach to providing a high degree of customer service for HR and Payroll queries in a positive manner whilst adhering to Service Level Agreements
  • Experience working in a busy HR and/or Payroll office or a similar working environment
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
