SGS Academy Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Engineering Workshop Technician.
SGS Berkeley Green Campus opened in September 2017 with outstanding facilities, strong student recruitment and a dynamic and experienced staff. We provide specialist, high quality technical and academic education for students aged 14-19 years with a strong interest in Engineering and Digital Technologies. We are committed to developing our students into the Engineers and Digital Technologists of tomorrow by working closely with our employer partners to deliver our exciting and industry relevant curriculum.
If you have a passion for working with KS4 and KS5 students who are all keen to follow STEM careers then this could be the opportunity for you. We are looking to appoint an engineering workshop technician to join our team. The successful applicant will manage the maintenance of our excellent workshop facilities to assist the teaching of students at Level 2, Level 3 and on apprenticeships covering workshop practice, engineering hand skills and traditional machining. Having industrial experience will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will hold as a minimum a Level 3 Engineering qualification and will have experience of working in the engineering industry.
