A market forces payment will be applied, increasing the salary to circa £35k

Are you ready for your next challenge in Further Education? Do you have a passion for education with plenty of enthusiasm to develop and inspire the next generation?  

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Engineering Team to teach and assess on a range of Apprenticeship Engineering courses, including Manufacturing Engineering. 

In this role you will be responsible for maximising the achievement of learners through learning and assessment activities. You will be expected to support learners through the full Apprenticeship diploma, including the delivery of functional skills. You will be responsible for ensuring learner and employer needs and expectations are met. 

You must hold an Assessors Award (A1 or equivalent), and an Internal Verifier Award (V1 or equivalent). The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Level 2 mechanical/manufacturing engineering qualification and a relevant teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one). He/she will also have Level 2 qualifications in Literacy and Numeracy, or be willing to work towards them. Ideally, you will also hold a Level 4 qualification in Engineering (or related field).   

You must have experience of working in machine shops (including: turning, milling, grinding, fitting), and ideally some experience of training if not teaching. 

Coventry College has two campuses (Henley Campus, Bell Green, City Campus, City Centre), you must therefore be able to travel between sites.
