If so, UHI Inverness College has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our team.  Working alongside academic colleagues, local businesses and the Data Lab, you will take the lead on the designing and developing a new MSc course that will support innovation in the fields of data science and AI. This is an exciting time to join the team at the UHI Inverness College and work in data science, as you will be in at the beginning of our journey and at a time when Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the Data Lab are investing significant resources in the Highlands and Islands region with the specific aim of enabling industry, public sector and world-class university researchers to innovate and develop new data science capabilities in a collaborative environment.

The Academic Lead Developer will:

  • Lead development work funded by the European Social Fund and Scottish Funding Council as part of Developing Scotland’s Workforce in Scotland 2014- 2020 European Structural and Investment Fund Programme.
  • Work with a team as they scope and plan new demand-led curriculum in this key (eligible) growth sector and lead the development and approval of this curriculum. The curriculum developments will be in computing and related disciplines and are likely to be at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Lead teams across the University’s Academic Partnership in preparing for approval and liaise with relevant colleagues and stakeholders both within UHI and across the sector.
