Offering a diverse curriculum within a vibrant and multicultural learning environment, our goal is to deliver excellent and innovative education which supports and inspires every student to achieve their ambitions.

Our organisation is on a journey of continual improvement. We have been making great efforts to embed our new values, increase efficiency, and develop our staff to face future challenges. The Learning and Organisation Development (LOD) team is dedicated to helping the college achieve these and many other goals. We are seeking an LOD Officer to help us on this journey. As part of this dynamic and varied role you will be involved in a wide range of development activities, such as:

  • Coordination of our college wide Staff Development Days
  • Improvement of our staff appraisal processes
  • Helping to promote apprenticeship pathways and maximise our usage of the Apprenticeship Levy
  • Development of our Onboarding, Induction, and Probation processes
  • Co delivery of internal staff training on topics like Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

The LOD team sits within the larger HR and OD department. We are highly collaborative, supporting each other on a wide array of projects. This makes the LOD Officer role perfect for anyone who enjoys taking on new and interesting challenges across the full spectrum of the HR and OD remit. This is a role with opportunity for both skill development and career progression. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate positivity, enthusiasm, and above all a passion for helping people and organisations to succeed. If you are interested in the role please ensure that your application reflects your current skill set as it compares to the Person Specification.

Leeds City College is committed to Equality of Opportunity (ensuring everyone is treated fairly) and safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All successful applicants are required to complete an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check as well as mandatory pre-employment checks which may also include checking social media profiles. We positively welcome applications from all sections of the community.
