This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing area in our portfolio of Animal Sciences programmes. Having successfully delivered the Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing for several years, we have now developed a BSc(Hons) Veterinary Nursing programme and are seeking to expand our veterinary Nursing team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join our team of teaching staff who are genuinely passionate about their subject and about supporting every student to reach their full potential. Working across a wide geographical area, you will liaise with a range of veterinary practices to secure work placements for our students studying veterinary nursing programmes at both Diploma and Degree level. You will also manage a caseload of students, carrying out assessments in the workplace, tracking their progress and ensuring timely success rates.

The successful candidates will be a qualified and experienced veterinary nurse, and will preferably hold a degree level qualification in a related subject. They will ideally hold an Assessors Award although formal training will be provided to any successful candidate that does not possess an assessors qualification.They must have the ability to plan and organise their own workload, to keep accurate records and must be willing to travel across a wide area.  The role will include supporting students while on placement as well as building mutually beneficial working relationships with employers.

Please note this role constitutes 'regulated activity' as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. This will be paid for by the College.
