Database Administrator - Cloud Warehouse

Milton Keynes College are looking to appoint a Database Administrator to develop and maintain the College's data warehouse capability.

Based within the Data Team, this role is the main point of contact and subject matter expert with regards to databases within the College.  You will assist in evaluating and advising on database management systems and associated technology.  You will develop and maintain a clear and comprehensive data model for all organisational information.

This hands-on supervisory role will involve balancing your own workloads alongside managing systems and projects.  You will be responsible for ensuring that data remains consistent across the organisations data stores and that users can access data concurrently, in a form that suits their needs.

As the successful candidate you will have:

• Computing-related degree, or equivalent experience.
• Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.
• Understanding of the SQL Server technology stack, database design and programming. 
• Experience with complex data sources of different types, both structured and unstructured.  
• Experienced SQL skills, with ability to code and mine data. 
• Management experience of systems, teams or projects.
• Able to deliver a broad range of data engagements in areas such as data architecture, data integration, data analytics, data lineage, data governance, data quality and business intelligence reporting. 
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Experience of the Microsoft Azure cloud computing service.
• Service and customer orientated.
