South Staffordshire College is at the heart of education in the area and as our new Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Deputy Chief Executive (Finance and Resources) to ensure that the strategic and operational finances of the College are implemented and managed successfully, and will play a pivotal role in helping the College to continue on its journey of improvement for the benefit of the students and the communities it serves.
You will assist with the preparation of the annual budget, departmental budgets and cash flow forecasts together with financial forecasts and reports as required by the Board and funding agencies.
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the finance department, overseeing payroll, purchase & sales ledger systems, debt recovery and pensions and general line management of the team.
To be successful, you will have extensive experience of working in a financial environment and will be a CCAB fully qualified Accountant.
