About the role:
As the Co-ordinator of Performing and Visual Arts you will lead a team of 12 teachers and four technicians. The Department offers A-levels in Fine Art, Graphic Communication, Photography, Critical and Contextual Studies, Fashion and Textiles, Music, Music Technology, Dance and Drama. This wide range of choices results in a thriving, creative and energetic performing and visual art environment. As well as leading the department, you will be part of the Sixth Form College management group.

About us:
City & Islington College is a successful further education college based in the London Borough of Islington, delivering a wide range of academic and vocational courses. The college has five centres and enrols over 11,000 students, including 4,500 16-18 year olds.
City and Islington Sixth Form College is a well-established and over-subscribed specialist A-level centre, with 1600 students on roll. We are situated on one site at the Angel in the heart of London and our wonderful students travel from across the capital to learn with us. Performing and visual arts students benefit from the fantastic range of galleries, theatres and music venues within easy reach of the College. All teachers are tutors to a pastoral group of up to 22 A-level students and we have a wide range of enrichment and extension activities to develop our students' confidence and skills.
The Sixth Form Centre at Angel Islington is a major London sixth form college, offering a huge range of A Level subjects to over 1700 students a year from across the city.
