Gower College Swansea is looking for an Interim Health Safety and Environment Advisor to join its expanding Estates team. The College is multi-sited with 5 campuses and on-going construction work.

This is an interesting new role required to assist the Health, Safety and Environment Manager in implementing the College’s Management Control Systems for Health & Safety across Faculties and Functional Areas and ensuring their compliance with internal and external standards.

Key responsibilities of the role include advising staff and the management team on all aspects of Health and Safety, conducting risk assessments, identify training needs, conducting audits and inspections, along with managing and assisting the Educational Trip and Safe Systems of Work processes.

You should have a NEBOSH Diploma or a Health and Safety degree, have achieved or be working towards graduate membership of IOSH and hold a relevant environmental management qualification. Previous experience of working within a Health and Safety role, strong knowledge of the legislative frameworks and best practice are essential.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh and will be treated no less favourably than applications submitted in English. Appointments will normally be made to the bottom of the salary scale with annual increments on 1st August each year (subject to completing 6 months service).

Byddwch yn meddu ar gymhwyster Diploma NEBOSH neu radd mewn Iechyd a Diogelwch ac yn meddu ar/yn barod i weithio tuag at aelodaeth raddedig IOSH. Bydd hefyd gennych gymhwyser rheoli amgylched perthnasol. Mae profiad blaenorol o weithio mewn rôl Iechyd a Diogelwch, gwybodaeth weithredol o’r fframweithiau deddfwriaethol a gwybodaeth am arferion gorau yn hanfodol.
