Kit Store Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join Ravensbourne University’s Kit Store team and ensure all our stakeholders have access to our collection of industry-standard media and digital equipment.

As a department we strive to provide an exceptional user experience to the Ravensbourne community, and this role will require a self-motivated and adaptable individual who can deliver the highest level of customer care and focus at all times in the Kit Store.

The role will require you to provide support and assistance as part of a team in the effective provision and availability of specialist equipment, in order to facilitate teaching and student learning. This will involve processing equipment collections and returns, providing technical assistance and advice to students, and helping with the maintenance of stock.

The successful candidate will have experience of working within a customer-focused environment with relevant experience in the field of Broadcasting or Digital Media at a technical or operational level. Technical knowledge of broadcast/sound/photography equipment would be beneficial. The role will be required to work a variable work pattern in accordance with the agreed opening hours of the Kit Store, normally to start no earlier than 0700 hrs and to finish no later than 1900 hrs, in order to provide the appropriate cover for these services.
