Lecturer in Business Studies (Further Education)

0.6 contract (22.2 hours per week)

The overall effectiveness of leadership and management, the quality of teaching, learning and assessment and the 16-19 study programmes all received the highest grade from Ofsted.

We are looking to recruit a part-time permanent Business Studies Lecturer who will teach across three of our Further Education provisions. The successful candidate will teach one day a week in our A-level department (teaching part of the A-level Business specification), one day a week in our FE Equine department (teaching the business units to our BTEC Equine students) and another day a week within our Access to Higher Education department (teaching Business Studies and Research Methods units to our Access to HE students). This is a varied role where the successful candidate will make a positive impact to students across a number of our subject areas. 

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, student focused and have strong interpersonal skills. They will be expected to deliver exceptional teaching which will assist students to achieve excellent results. They will be able to inspire students to appreciate and enjoy Business Studies, instilling in them a passion for the subject and a desire to develop their understanding.

The candidate will hold or be working towards a teaching qualification and ideally have experience of delivering Business Studies at A-level/BTEC level 3 or above. Teaching delivery will be over 3 working days.
